My daughter found this bug in the bathroom, and now I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m trying to figure out what it is, if it’s dangerous, and what we’re supposed to do when one shows up inside the house

The first step is to observe the insect without disturbing it. Pay attention to its size, color, body shape, and whether it has wings, long antennae, or noticeable markings. Also consider where you found it. An insect near a window may have simply wandered indoors, while one found near stored food or damp areas could offer clues about why it is there. If possible, take a clear photo using your phone before the insect moves away. A sharp image can be helpful when comparing it with trusted identification guides or consulting a local pest professional.
