Goodbye white rings: two foolproof tips to remove a bleach stain from clothing

First solution: sodium thiosulfate, a professional neutralizer

This product is not widely known to the general public, but it is an excellent ally for neutralizing chlorine. Commonly used in laboratories to stop the action of bleach, sodium thiosulfate is readily available in pharmacies or online.

The procedure to follow

Put on gloves to protect your hands. In a bowl, mix 250 ml of lukewarm water with a tablespoon of sodium thiosulfate. Apply this solution directly to the affected area, without rubbing. Leave it for a few minutes, then rinse thoroughly with cold water. Finally, wash the garment as usual. This tip is particularly effective if the stain is still fresh. It stops the chemical from penetrating the stain and limits discoloration. Note: it does not recolor the fabric, but it prevents further damage.
