Fans Frustrated by ‘Wheel of Fortune’ Unsolvable Puzzle
The high-stakes round placed Santangelo in the “Person” category with new host Ryan Seacrest. After the standard letters R, S, T, L, N, and E were revealed, the puzzle read: O _LE _ _ ENT. Santangelo chose P, C, H, and O, uncovering only one additional letter. With just 10 seconds remaining, she struggled to solve it.
When time ran out, the solution—“DOUBLE AGENT”—was revealed. Even Seacrest admitted the puzzle was exceptionally difficult, noting there were too few clues to reach the answer. Fans quickly took to social media to express their frustration. Many pointed out that the same puzzle had caused a contestant to lose $100,000 back in 2008.
